Day 1 & 2 - Departure
Depart your home city for Hong Kong.

Day 3 - Hong Kong
Welcome to Hong Kong where beauty and a fascinating way of life will surround you. Upon arrival your Learning Through Travel guide will greet you. After checking in at the hotel the remainder of the day is at your leisure, to freshen up and begin shopping at the arcades in your area which include an optician shop, tailor and a pearl outlet.  Enjoy a welcome dinner this evening. If interested, you may like to visit the Night Market, where the streets are lined with vendors selling, silk scarves, hand bags, pants, shirts, crystal and many other treasures.

Day 4 - Hong Kong
After a buffet breakfast begin your discovery of the Orient. Take a cable car to the top of Victoria Peak to enjoy a breathtaking view of Victoria Harbor, Kowloon and the South China Sea. Enjoy some leisure time for shopping along the arcade, where you see artists at work painting the wonderful scenery surrounding them. Continue to the floating sampan fishing villages of Aberdeen. Take a traditional water taxi through the quaint fishing community (cost for taxi not included) and try a sumptuous Chinese dim sim lunch in one of Aberdeen's famous floating restaurants.  This afternoon visit Stanley Market, where you can find the buys of a lifetime! In the evening you may choose an optional tour to - Lamma Island Dinner & Hong Kong Night Lights. 

Day 5 and 6 - Hong Kong
The next two days are at your leisure; however there are a number of optional tours offered. An excursion to Mainland China is a wonderful way of seeing more of the Orient. A 60-minute hovercraft ride takes you to Shekou a part of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.  A visit to the Qin Dynasty Terracotta Warriors and Horse from Xian is a must. Watch kindergarten children singing and dancing before proceeding on to Canton, capital of the Guangdong Province.  You see the Guangzhou Zoo, the Six Banyon Temple, and Dr. Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and of course there is time for shopping!   Return to Hong Kong by train. Another option offered, is to visit Ocean Park and Middle Kingdom. Ocean Park is one of the most spectacular and largest oceanarium in the world in South East Asia with an area of 170 acres. Featured are an Ocean Theatre, Shark Aquarium, Wave Cove, the Film-Fantasia Simulator and Water World (only open in summer). Three shows are hosted daily at the Ocean Theatre with stars like the dolphins, seals, and other sea creatures. Do not miss a breath-taking ride in the cable car! Taking the world’s second longest outdoor escalator will lead you to the Village of the Middle Kingdom; a place built imitating ancient China. Walking through full size replicas of temples, shrines, pagodas, streets and public squares fills you with the wonder of the ancient way of living, traditions, customs, and entertainment of the 13 dynasties in China. Traditional Chinese performing arts such as acrobatic shows feature juggling and incredible feats of balance, lion dances and kung fu exhibitions are conducted as well. And don’t forget to see the pandas!

Day 7 - Hong Kong/Bangkok
Enjoy some time in Hong Kong at your leisure before you depart for Bangkok, Thailand.  Upon arrival your tour representative will greet and transfer you to the hotel.  Have your camera ready for the spectacular sights of Thailand. The city reflects a delightful mixture of modern and medieval architecture. This evening enjoy a dinner and show at a typical Thai Restaurant.

Day 8 - Bangkok
Today the tour includes a visit to the Grand Palace, one of the most beautiful examples of an ancient Siamese court, the Coronation Hall, the famous Emerald Buddha and the Angkor Wat Temples. After sightseeing you may choose to be dropped off at the “Street Market “, where you can find many shops and vendors. In the afternoon board a Thornburi Klongs Cruise, this takes you along cool winding klongs to see typical Thai life along the bank including the Wat Arun, the famous Temple of the Dawn and the Royal Barges.

Day 9 - Bangkok
This morning you drive to the countryside of Bangkok visiting the Floating Market at Damnoensaduak.  The market is a wonderful way to turn back the time to the ancient days of “Siam”. Feel how ancient Thai’s lived their daily lives along the klong.  A boat takes you to the market where fresh fruit and Thai handicrafts are sold.  There is time at your leisure to enjoy this age-old shopping arcade. Continue to the picturesque Rose Garden where you can wonder around the magnificent gardens and greenery.  After a buffet lunch enjoy a colorful Thai folkloric show, which showcases  the villages throughout Thailand, including an authentic kick boxing tournament, Thai sword fight, elephant and folk dancing. If you dare, you have the opportunity to ride an elephant. Before returning to the hotel, stop at Nakorn Pagoda where Thailand’s most majestic Pagoda is located.

Day 10 - Bangkok
Enjoy the final day in Thailand at your leisure shopping and mingling among the people.

Day 11 - Departure
Farewell to the Orient as you transfer to the airport for your return. Arrive home, your hearts and minds filled with many happy memories!
