Day 1 – April 30 – Departure
Depart Richmond or Washington today for Argentina. Dinner served aloft.
Day 2 – May 1 – Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires this morning, the capital city. The city is home to 10 million people and has a feel of being in Paris. After sometime to get acclimated the motor coach will be at your disposal for and afternoon orientation tour of the city. The tour starts at the historic Plaza de Mayo Square where you will see the Piramide de Mayo, which rises in the center of the square. Visit the neighborhoods of La Boca and the San Telmo where you will see cobblestone streets and colonial homes, Recoleta, the most sophisticated neighborhood in Buenos Aires where the finest restaurants, cafes, night clubs and boutiques are located. See the Recoleta Cemetery where Eva Peron is buried. If you require visits to the university or to a business please advise us. This evening enjoy a welcome Tango dinner and show. Day 3 – May 2 – Buenos Aires
Today you will have the motor coach at your disposal for university and business visits.

Day 4 – May 3 – Buenos Aires
This morning you will have the motor coach at your disposal. In the afternoon leave Buenos Aires for the San Isidrio district, an elegant residential area. Visit the beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral, placed in the historic center of the city, which is surrounded by some colonial, and Italian style houses, cobbled stone streets and centenary trees. Not far from there, you will find the restored San Isidro train station, an interesting complex of restaurants, cinemas and shopping malls. The visit continues towards Tigre, a lovely neighborhood situated in the delta of the Parana River. Sail along the Delta where you will see a mixture of old and wooden homes, yacht clubs and isles covered with abundant subtropical vegetation. Lunch will be at a typical restaurant. Day 5 – May 4 – Buenos Aires/Montivideo
This morning you will leave Buenos Aires by fast ferry to Montevideo, Uruguay. Montevideo is the capital city of the Republica Oriental del Uruguay as well as the commercial, cultural and tourist center of the country. An orientation tour will introduce you to the Ciudad Vieja (old city ), and Ciudad Nueva (new city) and Ciudad Abierta (open city). After your tour you will check-in at your hotel.

Day 6- May 5 – Montevideo
The motor coach is at your disposal for visits to the university and businesses.

Day 8 – May 7 – Montevideo
Today you will leave the city to visit Punta del Este the leading seaside resort of Uruguay. Visit Piriapolis an old town resembling the Costa Azul. The tour takes you along the seaside ending in a panoramic spot on top of the San Antonio hill. Enjoy some time at the beach and at your leisure. Return to Montevideo later this afternoon. This evening enjoy a farewell dinner and show at El Milongon. Check-out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back home. ACCOMMODATIONS: FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON OR SIMILAR (B, D)
