AIR TRANSPORTATION: All land and air prices are computed as of January 1, 2006. The rates do not include airline surcharges, U.S. & foreign taxes, security charges and custom fees. All rates and flights are subject to change without notice due to circumstances beyond our control. All tickets must be issued at least 30 days before travel date. Cancellation of a ticket after purchasing is subject to a 100% forfeiture.
AIRLINE SURCHARGE INFORMATIONAirlines, in an effort to stem off financial losses caused by dramatic recent oil price increases, are exercising their right to increase taxes by instituting fuel surcharges of various amounts depending upon the airline and the destination. Some carriers who have already implemented these fees are increasing them again. Some are introducing them for the first time. It is important that all passengers understand that Learning Through Travel (LTT hereafter) has no influence over airline decisions to impose surcharges, nor does LTT benefit in any way from those additional fees. If you have already paid, the new charges will be added to your invoice and sent to you. If you are registering now then the surcharges are already reflected in your invoice. Unfortunately, airlines are increasing surcharges as they see fit and LTT exercises the right to charge you the passenger the increase. Taxes and fuel charges are subject to change until all tickets are issued.
RATES: All rates quoted are based on tariffs and value of foreign currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar in effect as of January 1, 2006, and are subject to change. We will do our utmost to keep to the prices as published. Should increases be forced on us by airlines, exchange rates, etc., we reserve the right to surcharge, up to a maximum of 10% of the tour fare.
LUGGAGE: On transatlantic flights, passengers are allowed 2 pieces of check-in baggage, maximum dimensions each piece - 106". In addition, every passenger may have 1 carry-on bag. From any destination to USA baggage is limited to 44 lbs. per piece of luggage. From USA to Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Orient, South America and Africa, baggage is limited to 44 lbs. per piece of luggage.
INCLUDED: Service charges imposed by hotels, porterage, and meal gratuities.
NOT INCLUDED: Items of a personal nature such as laundry, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, insurance of any kind, airport/hotel transfer for independent arrivals and departures, local airport taxes and visa fees, tips to drivers, guides, transfer and cruise personnel, airport taxes, surcharges, security charges
SPECIAL NOTE: Delays, cancellations and overbookings may occur on air tickets, cruises and land reservations by the participating carriers and hotels. While LTT will do everything possible to avoid these inconveniences, it cannot and will not assume responsibility for the respective carriers and hotels. LTT is not responsible for typographical errors. A service fee of $100.00 per person will be charged for each deviation made.
RESERVATIONS: A deposit of $500.00 per person is requested in order to confirm reservations. Deposit can be paid by Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discovery Card. Final payment must be made by personal check, cashier or certified check 60 days before departure. Tour documents will be sent via DHL approximately 15 days before your departure. If your address is a POB please advise us so we can make the necessary arrangements for delivery. If you have an address change, please advise us immediately. LTT will not be held responsible for documents sent out to an address which has been changed.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND: Accumulative documentation of expenses for all clientele is kept up to date and will be applied to all bookings at time of cancellation at the discretion on LTT. If cancellation is made the following will apply:
• Up to 90 days prior to departure, less $200.00 handling fee,
• 89-60 days prior to departure, less initial deposit.
• 59-45 days prior to departure, less 50% of tour cost.
• Less than 45 days prior to departure, up to 100% - refund is
dependent on amount recoverable from overseas suppliers.
These cancellation fees are also in addition to any imposed by airlines. We strongly recommed that you obtain travel insurance. Information is included in your welcome package. No refund will be made for unused portions of the trip. All cancellations must be made in writing and mailed. Cancellation will not be accepetd by e-mail, telephone or fax. Refunds will be processed 6- 8 weeks from date of arrival.
CHANGE FEES: Once you reserve your tour, changes are possible subject to availability of air or land space at the time of request. Should there be any change fees imposed by airlines or ground operators, or additional costs incurred due to availability of any space, this cost will be invoiced to you.
RESPONSIBILITY: Learning Through Travel acts as an agent in making and securing all arrangements for transportation, sightseeing and accommodations for the tour concerned. Learning Through Travel does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, hotel or restaurant or any other supplier of services. All coupons, receipts and tickets issued are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers. By accepting the tickets and vouchers you agree (and your parents or guardian if you are a minor) that neither Learning Through Travel or any of its representatives shall be liable for any loss, injury or damage to you or your belongings or in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences beyond its control including breakdown of equipment, strikes, theft, delay or cancellation or changes in schedule of services. All accommodations, services and facilities are subject to the laws and customs of the countries in which these accommodations, services and facilities are rendered. Learning Through Travel reserves the right to make necessary changes in the itinerary or services, to substitute airlines or accommodations or cancel any tour at its own discretion in which case the sole liability of Learning Through Travel towards the client shall be a refund of money paid. LTT can make the decision to remove a person/s from a tour at their discretion. No refund will be provided. No employee of Learning Through Travel can change the terms under which you agree to participate in tours. Airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time you are not on board their aircraft. The passage contract in use by the airlines involved when issued constitutes the sole agreement between you and them, and in purchasing a passage contract as part of this tour the participant (and your parents or guardians if you are a minor) acknowledge and accepts the foregoing
